Eldora Mccoy

Eldora P. McCoy, 89, of Albion died Thursday, July 29, 2010 at North Ridge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Albion. Born December 21, 1920 in Whitley County, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Etta Fulk.e She married Leland McCoy in Columbia City on May 7, 1938.e He died on February 12, 1985. Mrs. McCoy was a nurses aid at the Luckey Hospital in Wolf Lake as well as at Sacred Heart in Avilla. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Stanley and Pansy McCoy of Churubusco; daughters and son-in-law Peggy and Keith Rupert of Albion and Donna Coleman of Albion; sisters, Gertrude Fulk of Albion and Laurel Wilson of Uniondale: 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland McCoy in 1985; a son, Robert McCoy in 2010; two sisters and five brothers. Funeral service is Monday at 11 am with calling one hour prior at the Sheets and Childs Funeral Home.e The Rev. Nancy Fergusson will be officiating.e Burial will be in Christian Chapel Cemetery in Merriam. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
