Elizabeth A. Adams, 80, a long-time resident of Fort Wayne, passed away on December 3, 2023.
She was born in Fort Wayne, on February 17, 1943, to the late Fred and Bernadean (Weber) Waltenburg. She spent her formative years in Fort Wayne and graduated from Central High School.
She was married to Howard Adams in Fort Wayne, on February 13, 1968. He preceded her in death on May 6, 1984.
Elizabeth lived her entire life in the area, dedicating 35 1/2 years to serving her community as a factory worker for General Electric before her retirement.
Elizabeth was known for her love of gardening and the joy she had in decorating her yard for Halloween and Christmas, creating a spectacle of lights and decorations that delighted neighbors and passersby. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and sister, always putting family first and creating a home full of love and warmth.
Elizabeth is survived by her sons, Langdon (Debra) Adams and Mike (Tina) Adams; her daughter, Cindy Sanchez; her brother, Bill Waltenburg; ten grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Bernadean Waltenburg; her husband, Howard Adams; daughter, Charlotte Adams; brothers, Fred and Bob Waltenburg; and sisters, Mary Walker and Charlotte Robinson.
Funeral services will take place on Monday, December 11, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, with calling one hour prior to the service.
Burial will take place at Highland Park Cemetery.
