Ernest Remaklus

Ernest J. Remaklus, 75,e a resident ofe Churubusco, passed away at 1:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2011, at Provena Sacred Heart, Avilla, after a brief illness.e e e Ernest was born in Fort Wayne on October 16, 1936, a son of Paul and Alvira (Schmit) Remaklus. He spent his formative years in Fort Wayne graduating from Central Catholic High School in 1954. After high school he served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, stationed three years in Germany. e On October 2, 1983 he was married in Fort Wayne to Glenda Boschet. The couple moved to their current residence in 1996. e Mr. Remaklus retired as an inspector from Dana Corporation April 30, 1999, after 44 years of service. e The surviving relatives include his wife Glenda; three children Dan Remaklus and Sarah Quinn, both of Fort Wayne, and Jennifer (Randy) Barrow of Spencerville; three stepea"children Doug (Laurie) Specht of Huntertown, Sheryl (Bill) Roe of Houston, TX., and Laura (Jack) Lahrman of Fort Wayne; three sisters Beverly Hevel of New Haven, Jean of Van Wert, OH., Anita of Van Wert, OH.; 12 grandchildren, and one great-grandson. e Mr. Remaklus was preceded in death by a brother Kenneth Remaklus; a sister Gloria Remaklus; and an infant brother. e e The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a. m. on Monday, December 19, 2011, at St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Churubusco with Father Danney Pinto, the celebrant. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 6 p. m., and one hour prior to the funeral mass Monday morning at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco.
