Esther Anderson, 95, formally of Churubusco, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2025, at Oak Pointe in Columbia City.
She was born in Green Center on January 16, 1930, to the late Ted and Carnie (Herron) Pippenger.
She was married in Noble County to William Anderson on May 3, 1947. He preceded her in death on December 23, 1993.
Esther was a beloved homemaker who dedicated her life to the well-being of her family and those around her. She set the example of what hard work and unconditional love look like. She was a pillar of strength, resilience, and love; her presence will be dearly missed.
Esther is survived by her daughters, Pat (Tim) Wilkins and Becky McLaughlin; her siblings, Jim (Carolyn) Pippenger, Teddy Pippenger, Dan (Linda) Pippenger, Naomi (Paul) Coats, and Ruth Pressler; sisters-in-law, Norma Pippenger and Betty Pippenger; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Ron Anderson; a sister, Dorcas Pressler; three brothers, Phillip, Paul, and David Pippenger; a son-in-law, Jim McLaughlin.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at the Churubusco Church of The Nazarene, 1050 West Whitley Street, Churubusco, Indiana, 46723, with calling one hour prior to the service.
The family will also receive family and friends on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Esther will be laid to rest at Blue River Cemetery, Columbia City.
