Ethyl Bade

June 11, 1938 — December 14, 2018

Ethyl Lee Bade, 80, of Churubusco, passed away on December 14, 2018, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. She was born in Gravois Mills, MO, on June 11, 1938, to the late, John and Ruth (Tenny) James. She spent her formative years in Missouri. In 1956 she graduated from Tipton High School in Missouri. Ethyl married David D. Bade in St. Louis, on July 30, 1960. She worked as a registered nurse at Deaconess Hospital in St. Louis in 1960, working at several area hospitals. The last 15 years Ethyl served as a private duty nurse. She enjoyed reading, loved animals, was a talented seamstress, a faithful follower of the Lord and loved her family. Ethyl is survived by her husband, David Bade of Churubusco; three sons, Bruce N. (Stephanie) Bade of Louisville, Ky, Blane D. (Nancy) Bade Fort Wayne and Brett J.(Marie) Bade of Huntertown; a daughter, Belinda (Ben) Geise of Churubusco; two brothers, Wayne (Lorene) James of Bolivar, MO and Larry (Barbara) James of Winsor, MO; a sister, Evelyn (Thomas) Phelps of Tyler, TX; six grandchildren, Amanda (Jordon) Knerr of Columbia S.C, Nick Bade of Fort Wayne, Sarah Bade of Fort Wayne, Justin "Ben" Geise, Cassidy Geise and Thomas "Bear" Geise all of Churubusco. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Beth Amanda Bade in 1985 and a brother, Mahlon. Calling will take place at Sheets and Childs Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, from 12:30 pm, until service at 1:30 pm. Services will begin at 1:30 pm, on Tuesday. Burial will take place at Concordia Cemetery Gardens in Fort Wayne, Pastor Lane Burgland officiating. Memorials to Donors Choice.
