Eva Ramsey

Eva Elizabeth Ramsey, 80, of Churubusco, passed away at 1:08 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at her home in Churubusco. Ms. Ramsey was born on May 27, 1934 in Fort Wayne, a daughter of Andrew and Ilo (Davis) Ramsey. She spent her formative years in Fort Wayne, and graduated from Central Catholic. On July 5, 1953 she was married in Fort Wayne to Emmett Ramsey. She was formerly employed at General Electric on Taylor Street in Fort Wayne, Tokheim in Albion, and retired as a bank teller from United Bank. Ms. Ramsey attended St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Churubusco. The surviving relatives include three daughters, Vicki Ley of Kissimmiee, FL, Monica Ramsey of Churubusco, and Cathy (Dale) Davis of Cardington, OH; son, Mike (Sheila) Ramsey of Vermontville, MI; eight grandchildren and five great-grandsons. In addition to her parents and spouse, she was preceded in death by her brother, Andrew Weisbord; and a daughter, Janette Lowery. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p. m. Monday at St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Churubusco, with Father Danney Pinto, officiating. The family will receive friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home Monday, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Glendale Cemetery, Cardington, Ohio.
