Evelyn Clouse

Evelyn M. Clouse, 91, of Churubusco, went to be with her Lord & Savior at 5:10 p.m. on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Parkview Whitley Hospital in Columbia City. The beloved wife and mother of four was born to Earlin and Mary (McClain) Budd on October 26, 1924, in Noble County, Indiana. Her formative years were spent in rural Noble County and graduated from Churubusco High School in 1942. She was married on December 31, 1943 to the love of her life Ross Clouse for 70 years. living in rural Churubusco area all of their lives they were engaged in farming and enjoyed camping, gardening, and most of all their family. The retirement years were spent in wintering in Texas. Mrs. Clouse was a faithful member of Merriam Christian Chapel Church. The surviving relatives include son, Rev. Larry (Josefina) Clouse of Nashua, NH; two daughters, Charlene (Mike) Zeigler and Earlene Klein both of Churubusco; son-in-law, Gary E. Craig of Churubusco; a sister, Lavon Renkenberger of Kendallville; 21 grandchildren and 68 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and spouse, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Denise Marie Craig; two sisters, Lucille Bricker and Martha Osbun. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Merriam Christian Chapel, with Rev. Larry Clouse, officiating. The family will receive friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, or one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam.
