Flossie Bush

Marie Bush, 77, of Churubusco, passed away at 6:05 am on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Bush was born on August 24, 1935 in Manson, Tennessee, a daughter of Oscar W. and Eva (Hoover) Smith. She was married to J. T. Bush, and moved from Muncie to Churubusco where she had lived for 47 years. She was employed at Dana Corp. in Churubusco, and retired in 1997 after 27 years. She enjoyed gardening and cooking.e She was know for her southern hospitality and her hugs. Her spouse preceded her in death on July 5, 1995. The surviving relatives include mother Eva (Hoover) Smith of Muncie; her daughter Kathy (David) Kincaid of Georgetown, KY; two sons Michael (Linda) Bush of Danville, KY and Mark Allen Bush of Churubusco; three sisters Flonnie Akinson of Brentwood, TN, and Betty Ketchem and Judy (Steve) Tuttle, both of Muncie; brothere David (Dixie) Smith of Gaston; three grandchildren and one great granddaughter. In addition to her spouse, she was preceded in death by her father Oscar W. Smith; a granddaughter Ashley Nicole Kincaid; two brothers Carl and Carlis Smith. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 pm Friday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, with Pastor Paul D. White, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday. Burial will be in the Gardens Of Memory, north of Muncie.
