Frances F. Stuckey, 99, of Fort Wayne, passed away at 12:05 p.m., on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at Lutheran Life Village at Pine Valley.
Born on November 14, 1918, in Allen County, she was a daughter of the late George and Jennie (Smith) Fritz. She spent her formative years in Allen County and graduated from Arcola High School in 1937.
Frances was married on April 19, 1940, in Allen County, to Verdan Jay Stuckey and was a loving homemaker. The couple lived in Lake Township at her current home since 1954.
She was a charter member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Lake Township. She was also a member of the Willing Worker's Home Extension Homemaker Club since 1940. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Quilting and sewing covers to be donated to World Relief, through the church, was one of her pastimes.
Frances is survived by her daughter, Judy (Bill) Causey; two granddaughters, Jodie (Brock) Williams and Angela (Arron) Harrell; six great grandchildren, Madison and Kennedy Harrell, Chase, Kayl, Alex and Crystal Williams.
She is preceded in death by her husband and parents; a brother, Saben Fritz; three sisters, Laura LaFevor, Josephine Fudge and Adeline Thompson.
Calling will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Friday, May 11, 2018, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Calling also one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Services will begin at 11:00 AM, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Lake Township, on Saturday, May 12, 2018.
Burial will follow at Eel River Cemetery, Allen County.
