Frank F. Goff, 79, a former resident of Churubusco and Eel River Township, passed away at 5:05 p. m. on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Ashton Creek Health & Rehabilitation in Fort Wayne. He had been a patient there for the past six months. Mr. Goff was born on September 15, 1934 in Cecil, Ohio, a son of Fenton and Lucille (Harris) Goff, and moved to Fort Wayne as a child with his parents where he spent most of his formative years. He graduated from Central High School, and as a young man served with the U. S. Air Force. Employed as a caller with the Norfolk & Western Railroad, he retired from there in 1984 after near 20 years of service. He was a member of the Fellowship of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, east of Churubusco. In his leisure time he enjoyed midget race car driving, was an avid reader, enjoyed watching television news programs, and most especially loved and cherished his family. On January 29, 1983 he was married in Fort Wayne to Judith (Grossman) Hull. She preceded him in death on September 14, 2000. The surviving relatives include six children Mark (Michelle) Goff of La Cross, Kansas, Mary (Les) Edgerton and Steve (Lorri) Goff, both of Fort Wayne, David (Lisa) Goff of Indianapolis, and Thomas (Laurie) Goff and Ann Goff, both of Fort Wayne; his two step-daughters Tonya (Tim) Schnitz of Churubusco and Christina (Monty) Binkley of Fort Wayne; and a sister Esther Shroyer of Fort Wayne. There are 18 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at the Fellowship of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 13733 Wesley Chapel Road, with Pastor Larry Smith, officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p. m., or one hour prior to the service Wednesday afternoon. Interment will be in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne.
