Frederick Ramsey

Frederick R. Ramsey Jr., 67, of rural Avilla, passed away at 12:13 a.m. on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Mr. Ramsey was born on April 9, 1947 in Fort Wayne, a son of Frederick R. and Alice (Porter) Ramsey. He spent his formative years in Huntertown, and graduated from Huntertown High School in 1965. On November 22, 1975 he was married in Fort Wayne to Rhonda Harrah. He was employed at Tokheimin Fort Wayne and Symmetry Medica in Avilla, and retired after more than 35 years. Mr. Ramsey was a member of Sugar Grove Church of God, north of Churubusco. The surviving relatives include wife Rhonda Ramsey of Avilla; his mother Alice Ramsey of Casper, WY; a daughter Julie (Glenn) Remke of Sparks, NV;a son Steve (Lisa) Ramsey of Huntertown; one brother John (JoAnn) Ramsey of Casper, WY; a sister Jennie Ramsey of Rochester, NY; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Frederick R. Ramsey; and by a daughter Jill Ramsey. Services will be held at 1:00 p. m. on Saturday, April 4, 2015, at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco with Pastor Timothy Grable, officiating. The family will receive friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Allen County.
