Fredrick E. Ringler, 62, of Kendallville and formerly of Tri-Lakes, passed away at 11:30 p. m. on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Mr. Ringler was born on October 5, 1951 in Fort Wayne, son of Ryan and Thelma (Lapp) Ringler. He spent his formative years in Huntertown, and graduated from Carroll High School in 1970. On March 24, 1971 he was married in Fort Wayne to Cynthia Crance. The couple lived in Huntertown for a period of time but spent most of their marriage at Tri-Lakes. They had lived in Kendallville since 2006. He was employed at Sheperd's Automotive in Kendallville as a auto painter, and retired in 2007. In his free time he enjoyed fishing in Wisconsin, playing guitar, and spending time with his family. The surviving relatives include wife Cynthia Ringler of Kendallville; two daughters Karli (Robert) Hendry and Kassandra (Jeremy Pequignot) Ringler, both of Columbia City; six sisters, Ellen Clair of Churubusco, Suzanne (Gary) Seagers of Wintergarden, Fla., Margaret Jackson, Cindy (Steven) Getty both of Fort Wayne, Carolyn (Ron) Gephart of Decatur, and Jeanette (Clifford) Crance of Tri-Lakes; two grandsons Brandon Hendry and Sidney Severit; and four granddaughters Ashley Ringler, Mackenzie Hendry, Lucy Severit, and Elizabeth Severit. He was preceded in death by his parents Ryan and Thelma (Lapp) Ringler. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco with Rev. Corinne Boruff-Stucker, pastor of Churubusco United Methodist Church, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 6 p. m. Sunday, or one hour prior to the service Monday morning.
