Gail Herron

Gail L. Herron, 70 of Churubusco died Monday, July 26, 2010 at home.e She was born January 1, 1940 in Allen county the daughter of Edward and Louise Stoops.e She was a 1958e graduate of Huntertown High School.e On August 2, 1958 she was married to Donald R. Herron at the Churubusco United Methodist Church. Gail was a 4-H leader for the handicapped, a member of the Morning Glories Bowling League and a honorary member of Beta Sigma Phi.e She was employed at Sears Glenbrook for over 30 years. She is survived by her husband Donald R. Herron; children, Donald R. Herron, Jr., Anthony E. (Lea Ann) Herron both of Churubusco and Nicholas D. (Lisa) Herron of Auburn.e Her sisters are Elaine (Ron) Renkenberger of LaOtto, Alma DeVore of Wabash and Mary Helen Wheeler of Eaton, Ohio.e Her brothers are Edward Stoops, Jr. of Missouri and David (Kathy) Stoops of Butler.e Her grandchildren, Kelly (Mathew) Haber, Amy Herron, Nancy (Fiance Cody Gordon) Herron and Anthony Herron, Jr. all of Churubusco as well as Kaleb Herron and Emily Herron of Auburn.e Also surviving is her grandchild, Claire Haber; beloved friend, Linda ( Mac) Millington; special friends, Rebecca Herron-Whitman, Sharon Meitz and her co-workers at Sears.e Other relatives are her brother-in-law, James Herron ande sister-in-law Sandra Speakman of Churubusco; several nieces and nephews as well as countless friends. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, August 1 from 4-6 pm at the Blue Lake Community Center with a short service to follow at 6 pm. The family requests happy memories and fun times shared in lieu of flowers and tears.e Memorials may be directed to the Churubusco Youth League Girls Softball Program or the DeKalb High School Show Choir.
