Gale Scott Pippenger, 64, of Albion, passed away at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 in Avilla surrounded by his closest friends and family. Mr. Pippenger was born on April 25, 1952 in Wolf Lake, a son of Paul T. and Mary JoAnn (LaRue) Pippenger. Pip served his country in the United States Marine Corp Mr. Pippenger was a member of American Legion and the Indiana Tractor Pullers Association. He also volunteered for more then 25 years at the Arcola Tractor Pull. The surviving relatives include his nephews and several cousins; also his many close friends. He was preceded in death by his father Paul T. Pippenger and his mother Mary (LaRue) Collins; his brother Lamont P. Pippenger; his sister Linda Stone. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, with Pastor Rick Van Horn, officiating. The family will receive friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, or one hour prior to the service. Burial with military rites will be in the Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam
