George Bingham, 85, of Fort Wayne, passed away at Parkview Regional Medical Center on November 26, 2024.
He was born in Fort Wayne on November 3, 1939, to the late Elson and Dortha (Egly) Bingham. He spent his formative years in Churubusco. After High School, he served in the United States Air Force.
Following his time in the Airforce he returned to Churubusco, where he married his wife of 58 years, Betty Bingham on July 25, 1960. She preceded him in death on October 9, 2018.
George was a dedicated man, both in his personal life and career, retiring from Dana Weatherhead, Columbia City after 35 years of impeccable service.
In his downtime, George had a passion for motorcycles, spending countless hours riding Harley's in his younger years and transitioning to Goldwing's later in life. He was a past member of the Goodnews Baptist Church.
George is survived by his son, Gary Bingham; three daughters, Yvonne (Nick) Bianski, Christine (Larry) Fisher, and Stacy Bingham; two brothers, Alden (Deloris) Bingham and Harry (Kathy) Bingham; three sisters, Gertude (Roger) Goodyear, Florence (Paul) Gray, and Sherrie (Roger) Warner; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by four brothers, Donald Bingham, Ralph Bingham, Richard Bingham, and Chester Bingham; two sisters, Gladys Fisher and Evelyn Mote.
A graveside service will take place on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 1:00 pm at the Eel River Cemetery, Churubusco.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Tunnels 2 Towers.
