Born on December 11, 1945, in Davison, Michigan, Jerry was the son of the late Paul and Leona Langley. Following the loss of his parents during childhood, Jerry and his brother were lovingly raised by their aunt and uncle, Jerry and Mildred Smazik, in Park River, North Dakota.
Jerry graduated from Park River High School before proudly serving in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968 as a medic, including 11 months in Vietnam. His service reflected his dedication and compassion for others. After completing his military service, Gerald returned to Davison, Michigan, where he met Lori, the love of his life. They were married on August 10, 1968, and shared a lifetime of love and memories.
Jerry worked in the manufacturing industry as a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor at Genova. After retiring, he enjoyed working alongside his son, Jerud, at LH Medical.
In his free time, Jerry enjoyed fishing, gardening, and cooking for his family. He especially treasured family gatherings and the opportunity to share his love through a good meal. He was also a loyal fan of the Detroit Lions and the University of Michigan.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Lori Langley; his daughters, Kelli Langley and Terri (Mark) Hale; his son, Jerud (Jody) Langley; eight grandchildren, Donald (Alicia), Cody (Mckenzie), Austin, Malori (Zach), Riley, Reid, Cole, and Josie; and six great-grandchildren, Maddie, Layton, Bailey, Aubrey, Jace, and Eleanor.
