Gladys Elizabeth "Betty" Rasler, 91, formerly of Churubusco, passed away on May 30, 2017 at her son's home in Evansville.
Born in Lochwinnick, Scotland on January 13, 1926, she was the daughter of Harold and Joan (Noble) Bishop. She spent her formative years in Scotland and moved to the United States as a World War II war bride. She settled in Woodruff Indiana and later moved to Rome City. She moved to Churubusco in 1990.
In her youth, she like to go bowling and play cards. Later she enjoyed knitting and gardening.
Scotty is survived by her three sons, Douglas (Mary Rasler of Evansville, Brian (Cindy) Rasler of Topeka, and Stuart (Barb) Rasler of Churubusco; nine grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Ian and Douglas Bishop.
Visiting hours will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on June 6, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., or one hour prior to the service.
Services will begin at 10:00 AM, at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on June 7, 2017 with Pastor Rick VanHorn, officiant.
Burial will follow at Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam.
