Golda E. "Goldie" Land, 57, a resident of Fort Wayne, was reunited with her parents in Heaven at 2:45 a. m. on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. She had been in failing health for some time and had been more seriously ill since January. Goldie was born in Fort Wayne on November 15, 1956, a daughter of Cecil M. and Martha (Herron) Land. She moved to Plant City, Florida as a child with her parents and graduated from Plant City High School in 1976. While living in Florida, she was employed as a patient account associate for 16 years at Tampa General Hospital until returning to Fort Wayne. She had worked at Fort Wayne Auto Radiator for five years, and had been employed as a billing clerk for Aging & In Home Services of Northeast Indiana since 2002. She was a member of Plant City Order of the Eastern Star 81. One of the great joys in her life were her two dogs Rusty and Frosty that she lovingly referred to as "The Boys." Goldie was preceded in death by her father on October 18, 1991, and by her mother on October 13, 2010. The surviving relatives include her aunt Mary Jane Paulus of Columbia City; and several cousins and close friends. A private family burial will be held at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Plymouth. At Goldie's request, there will be no calling hours. A celebration of life service will be planned in the summer. Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco is in charge of the arrangements. ******************************************
