Goldie Eix

Goldie E. Eix, 88, of Fort Wayne, passed away at 10:50 p.m. on Monday, July 11, 2016 at Parkview Randallia Hospital in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Eix was born on July 29, 1927 in Adams County, Indiana, a son of Hugh J. and Vivian (Hart) Moyer. She spent her formative years in Berne, and graduated from Berne High School in 1945. On June 7, 1946 she was married to Walter C. Eix. She was employed at Lutheran Hospital as a RN. Mrs. Eix was a member of First Eel River Baptist Church. She enjoyed her garden, sewing, and was a very good cook. Her spouse preceded her in death on June 2, 2009. The surviving relatives include three sons, Richard W. (Marsha) Eix, David L. Eix, and Stanley A. (Lorrie) Eix all of Fort Wayne; her daughter, Laura (Jon) Arvola of Fort Wayne; a sister, Lois (Ronald) Ballard of Decatur; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and spouse, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Altie Deroo and Edna Hoffman.
