Grace Lucille Sade, 80, a resident of Churubusco and widow of Boyce R. Sade, passed away 12:38 a. m. on Friday, August 3, 2012, at her home. Born on January 28, 1932 in Cave City, Arkansas, she was the daughter of William Harrison and Virgie Mae (Brewer) Pinkston.e She moved to Indiana in 1950 and was employed as an operator for the Bell Telephone Company. On June 1, 1951 she was married to Boyce R. Sade, also from Arkansas.e The couple resided in Fort Wayne for a period before moving and making Churubusco their home in 1955. She later worked at Dana Corporation in Churubusco and General Electric in Fort Wayne before returning to school and becoming a licensed practical nurse in 1980.e She worked as a nurse at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, retiring from there after over 15 years.e In addition, she continued to work as a home health care nurse for many years. She was a Master Gardener in Allen County, and was a member of the Churubusco Quilting Club.e In her leisure time, she enjoyed reading, movies, traveling, quilting, gardening, and family get-togethers. Mr. Sade preceded her in death on January 9, 1999. The surviving relatives include three daughters Vivian (Brian Graham) Sade and Margaret (Greg) Blake, both of Churubusco, and Janet (Brian) Lehmkuhl of Buchanan, Mich; four sons Bob (Brenda) Sade and Paul (Michele) Sade, both of Churubusco, Darrell Sade of Albion, and John (Kellie) Sade of Granger; a sister Evelyn Brincefield of Roanoke; 18 grandchildren Stacy (RT) Refeld, Geoffrey (Brein) Schenher, Benjamin and Christopher Rosswurm, Madalyn (Jason) Bartl, Dale, Zane, Jesse, Paul, Jr., Harrison, Kennedy, and Halie Sade, Lee, Chandler, and Molly Blake, and Mitchell, Joey and Lucas Lehmkuhl; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son Marcus Dale Sade on July 4, 1978; an infant daughter; her brother Jerry Pinkston; and two sisters Pat Hannum and Virginia Ballard. Funeral services will be held at 11 a. m. on Monday, August 6, 2012, at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco with Rev. Rick Van Horn, pastor of Christ Community Church, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 6 p. m., or one hour prior to the service Monday morning. Interment will be in the Eel River Cemetery, south of Churubusco.
