Helen Mccave

Helen J. McCave, 75, of Fort Wayne, passed away on December 17, 2021, at her residence. She was born on February 28, in Fort Wayne, to the late Donald J. and Florence (Angus) Meredith. On December 10, 1970, she married Ronnie L. McCave, he preceded her in death on October 16, 2012. Helen graduated from Huntertown High School in 1964. She was a member of North Point Community Church. She was an office assistant at Dupont Estates for six years. Helen is survived by three daughters, Marsha (Todd) Wilson, Samantha (Aaron) Scanlon and Marjorie "Elizabeth" Minnick; two sons, John R. McCave and James Biehl Jr.; 32 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Ann Listenberger, Pam Meredith and Christine Stromer; three brothers, Norman, Jay Meredith and Charlie Angus. She was preceded in death by her son, Scott McCave; her daughter, Jill Kroskie; her sister, Goria Schey. Funeral service will be Friday, December 24, 2021, at 11:00 am at Sheets and Childs Funeral Home, Huntertown Chapel, with calling one hour prior to service from 10-11. Visitation will be Thursday, December 23, 2021, from 2-4 & 5-7 at the funeral home. Memorials to Cancer Services of N.E. Indiana or St. Jude's Hospital.
