Inn Bolen,83, of Churubusco, passed away at 11:34 p.m. on Monday, December 11, 2017 in Fort Wayne. He was born in Knott County, Kentucky on May 30, 1934 to the late Wheatley and Lottie (Frazier) Bolen. He spent most of his formative years in Kentucky and West Virginia before moving to Indiana. Inn was married at St. Paul of the Cross in Columbia City on July 20, 1957 to Margaret Brendel. The couple have lived on Pleasant Street for the past 60 years. He retired from the Kendallville Foundry after 33 years. After his retirement he was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed selling fish worms. He was a member of the St. John Bosco Catholic Church. Inn is survived by his wife of 60 years, Margaret Bolen of Churubusco; four children, Julie Theobald of Andrews, Joseph (Jana) Bolen of High Springs, Fl, Francis (Karen) Bolen of South Bend and Virginia (Daniel) Osborn of Leesburg, Fl; a sister, Violet Chapman; a brother, Ellis Ray Hicks; nine grandchildren, three step grandchildren, two great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, James, Clifton, Blanten Bolen and Sherley Hicks; two sisters, Oma Hicks and Norrie Collins. Visiting hours will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM., with Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. calling also one hour prior to the service on Friday. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM, at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, Churubusco on Friday, December 15, 2017. Burial will follow at Eel River Cemetery, Allen County. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials for Masses or donations to the St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry, Churubusco. Online Condolences to the family at www.sheetsandchilds.com
