James Claymiller

James Joseph Claymiller, 63, of Churubusco, passed away on February 9, 2022, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. He was born in Fort Wayne, on September 25, 1958, to the late Russell and Phyllis (Robin) Claymiller. He spent his formative years in Fort Wayne, graduating from Northrop High School. James has spent the last 14 years with the love of his life Connie Hull, she survives. He was a carpenter by trade and was willing to help anyone. He was a member of the Churubusco American Legion Post 157, Auxiliary. James enjoyed watching hockey, fishing, camping, and painting statues. He had a passion for woodworking. He cherished time spent with his family. James is survived by his companion of 14 years, Connie Hull; three sons, Shane (Shuree) Claymiller, Justin Claymiller, and Paul Kennerly; two sisters, Denise (Roy) Williams and Rosie Smith; two granddaughters, Alyssa and Merisa; and several bonus grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Claymiller; his mother, Phyllis Huguenard. Services will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at 6:00 p.m., with Pastor Joe Adkins officiating.
