James Mclaughlin

James E. McLaughlin, 70, of Churubusco, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2020, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born in Fort Wayne, on October 4, 1949, to the late John and Vivian (Krot) McLaughlin. He spent his formative years in Fort Wayne, graduating from South Side High School. He also attended Purdue University. James was married to Rebecca Anderson at Eel River Baptist Church, on March 6, 1982. He was currently attending Churubusco Church of the Nazarene and had previously attended New Hope Community and First Eel River Baptist Church. Jim enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, reading books and sharing his love for music. Jim is survived by his wife of 38 years, Becky McLaughlin; a son, Corey McLaughlin; two daughters, Kelly (Jim) Bolenbaugh and Laura (Doug) Fields; a brother, John (Melissa) McLaughlin; a brother-in-law, Steve Goodyear; four grandchildren, Kaden, Addison, Terry and Kendrick; a great-grandson, Jax. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Joann Goodyear. Services will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Thursday, September 10, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. with calling one hour prior to the service. The family will also receive friends on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, from 4-8 p.m. Burial taking place at Eel River Cemetery, Allen County.
