James "Jim" W. Streby Sr., 48, of Columbia City, passed away at 3:42 pm on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at his home. Mr. Streby was born on March 6, 1967 in Fort Wayne, a son of Kenneth Streby and Linda (Lambert) Kuehner. He spent his formative years in Fort Wayne, and graduated from South Side High School in 1986. After high school he service in the 82nd Airborn in the United States Army. He was employed at Dexter Axle in Albion for 23 years and McDonalds in Churubusco for seven years. The surviving relatives include three sons, Brandon L. Andrews of Fort Wayne, Darren J. Andrews of North Manchester, and James W.(Darci Murphy) Streby, Jr. of Albion; three daughters, Kasey S. Rossi, Cassandra M. Streby, and Kassittey C. Streby all of Fort Wayne; three brothers, William (Diana Streby of Columbia City, Christopher (Sherri) Kuehner of Kimmell, and Scott Kuehner of Columbia City; two sisters, Carla (Jesse, Jr.) Cress of South Whitley and Lisa Wright of Fort Wayne; his step-father, Thomas Kuehner of Columbia City; three granddaughters, Emma Rossi, Katarina Rossi, and Lillian Meyer. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Cierra Streby; a grandson, Aidan Rossi. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, with Pastor Tim Grable, officiating. The family will receive friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, or one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Allen County.
