Jane Philbee

Jane Philbee, 84, of Churubusco, passed away on February 2, 2025, at Stillwater Hospice in Fort Wayne. She was born in Fort Wayne on November 13, 1940, to the late James and Anne (Seum) Gall, Jr. She spent her formative years in Fort Wayne and graduated from South Side High School. Jane was married to Richard J. Philbee on May 27, 1959. Together they raised three boys in Churubusco. Richard preceded her in death in 1992. Jane was a proud homemaker, dedicating her life to the nurturing and upbringing of her family. Her love and care for her family was always evident, and she will be greatly missed. Jane was known for her love of gambling. She often spent her spare time at the local casino. She was also an active member of the American Legion, where she made many lifelong friends. She is survived by her sons, Michael (Amy) Philbee, Rick Philbee, and Mark Philbee; her brothers, John and Lou Gall; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren A private family graveside service will be held at later date at Ege Catholic Cemetery. Sheets & Childs Funeral Home has been entrusted with these arrangements.
