Janet Coffey

Janet H Coffey, 87, of Fort Wayne, passed away on March 9, 2017, at Lutheran Life Villages in Fort Wayne. Born on May 7, 1929 in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was a daughter of Edward and Mary (Carrigan) Winter. She was married on December 18, 1948 to Patrick Coffey in Cincinnati, Ohio, The Couple move to Fort Wayne in 1962 and then later to Churubusco in 1987. Janet was employed at Magnavox and retired after 25 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Patrick on June 12, 2004. Janet enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her beloved dog Ruby. Janet is survived by a son, Michael (Hope) Coffey of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Lois (Steve) Orchard of Fort Wayne; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer Orchard, Jeffrey (Lily) Orchard, Nicole Orchard, Danielle Orchard, Michelle (Omar) Orchard - Afzaal, Zachery Orchard, Vincent Coffey, Daniel (Kari) Coffey, Joseph Coffey, and Kimberly Coffey; six great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters. Calling will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 from 11:00 AM until 1:00p. PM. Services will begin at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Ege Catholic Cemetery.
