Janet Dimpfl

Janet Sue Dimpfl, 64, of Churubusco, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2024. She was born in Middlesboro, KY on February 2, 1960, to the late L.B. and Geraldine (Wells) Burke. She was raised in Fort Wayne and graduated from Elmhurst High School in 1978. Sue resided in Churubusco, where she was known and adored by many. Sue was a woman of many passions, but nothing brought her more joy than her gardening, bowling, her beloved dogs, and attending mud bogs. She had an unwavering love for her family and special friends which was evident in her commitment to spend quality time with them. Sue is survived by her son, Matthew Berger; her sister, Katherine (David, Sr.) Hoot; her nieces, Jennifer (Adam) Racine and Wendy Hoot; her nephew, David (Jamie) Jr.; great-nephew, Alex Racine; great-niece, Addie Racine. She was preceded in death by her parents, L.B. and Geraldine Burke. A service will be planned at a later date. Sue's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
