Janet Sims

Janet L. Sims, 68, of Churubusco, passed away on January 1, 2022, at Valley View Health Care in Elkhart. Born in Baltimore, MD, on February 2, 1953, to the late George and Patricia Smith. She spent her formative years in Vallejo, California. Janet met her long-time companion Barry McKinley in Vallejo, California, on February 7, 1980. She was not afraid of work and did anything she could to make ends meet. She was a CNA, Taxicab Driver and worked at an Oil Refinery. Janet liked to play video games and bowl. Janet is survived by her love, Barry McKinley; her daughter, Laura (Ronald) Schane; her son, Kris (Chrystal) McKinley; three sisters; her five grandchildren, Jake, Gabe, Trisha, Caleb and Owen; her two great-grandchildren, Aaron and Spencer.
