Janice R. Ogg, 57, a resident of rural Churubusco in Allen County, passed away at 7:10 p. m. on Monday, May 13, 2013, at her home in Eel River Township.e She had been failing health for several years, and had been seriously ill since December. Mrs. Ogg was born on October 9, 1955 in Fort Wayne, a daughter of John R. and Margaret (Sellers) McKinney, and spent most of her formative years at Pine Valley in Perry Township.e She graduated from Carroll High School in 1974 and later from the Ravenscroft Beauty College.e As a young woman she was employed as a hair dresser and was also a homemaker. On October 23, 1976 she was married in Fort Wayne to William O. "Bill" Ogg.e The couple spent the early years of their marriage in Fort Wayne, but lived most of their adult lives at their home in Eel River Township.e She enjoyed watching the varieties of wild birds at their home, and also enjoyed traveling. The surviving relatives include her husband Bill; her mother Margaret A. McKinney of Norwood, Mo; a brother John R. McKinney, Jr. of Norwood, Mo; and three nephews. Her father preceded her in death on April 3, 2012. Memorial services will be held at 7 p. m. on Friday, May 17, 2013, at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco with her brother-in-law John Ritchie, officiating The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service Friday evening.
