Janice Faye Ott, 82, of Albion, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Ashton Creek.
She was born in Columbia City on May 5, 1944, to the late Val and Helen (Lock) Groves. Janice graduated from Columbia City Joint High School in 1962.
She was married to Dennis Ott at Burr Oak Baptist Church on December 2, 1962.
Janice found great joy in working on the family farm and was passionate about sewing, gardening, and crafting. Her creativity and dedication touched the lives of those around her.
A woman of deep faith, Janice was a longtime member of Burr Oak Baptist Church and, in recent years, attended Christian Chapel Church in Merriam.
Janice is survived by two daughters, Carmel (Barry) Newsom and Alice (Drew) Jenkins; a son, Brian Ott; five grandchildren, Randy (Kristin) Newsom, Kelsie Newsom, Quinn Newsom, Brent Marker, and Jaclyn (Zachary) Copeland; three great-grandchildren, Elianna, Elias, and Elouise Newsom; a brother, Roger (Pat) Groves; and a sister, Linda (Grant) Loy.
In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dennis E. Ott, and her son-in-law, Keith Marker.
Funeral services will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, on June 15, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., with calling two hours prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Merriam Christian Chapel Cemetery.
