Jason Samuel Gnagey, 27, a native of Churubusco and more recently of Fort Wayne, passed away at 2:35 a. m. on Sunday, April 14, 2013 in downtown Fort Wayne as the result of a motorcycle and motor vehicle accident. Jason was born on June 5, 1985 in Fort Wayne, a son of J. Samuel and Mary-Beth (Pearson) Gnagey, and spent his formative years in Churubusco.e He attended the Canterbury School, Churubusco High School, IPFW, and completed training at the Midwest Guitar School in St. Louis. He was currently employed as a stagehand for the Fort Wayne Philharmonic.e He enjoyed music of all types, played the guitar and saxophone, and had a lifelong love for The Beatles.e He was also gifted in handcrafting guitars. The surviving relatives include his father and step-mother Sam and Deb Gnagey of Auburn; a brother Evan Gnagey; a step-brother Andy (Kelly) Allcock of Fort Wayne; two step-sisters Trina Allcock of Fort Wayne and Tashina Lahr of Auburn; a half-sister Rochelle Skolnick of St. Louis; three aunts; and four nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary-Beth Gnagey, former Fort Wayne Philharmonic member and Canterbury School music instructor, on October 9, 1995. A Celebration of Jason's Life will be held from 7 to 10 p. m. on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at the Veteran's of Foreign Wars Post 857, 2202 W.
