Jean L. Lahrman

Jean Lahrman, 78, of Churubusco, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, at her residence. She was born on March 3, 1947, and lived a life defined by love, service, and deep devotion to family and children.

Jean was a loving mother to her children, Thomas Jay Lahrman (deceased), Rhonda Sue Lahrman Corson (deceased), and Scott Allen Lahrman. She is survived by her son Scott and his wife, Regina Ann Thompson. Jean was a proud and devoted grandmother to her grandson, Thomas Jon Lahrman, and his wife, Carly Lahrman, whom she loved deeply.

Jean is also survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Dale Lahrman, with whom she shared many years of marriage and companionship.

To countless families in Northwest Allen County, Jean was more than just a familiar face-she was Bus #10. As a school bus driver for the Northwest Allen County School System, Jean treated every child who stepped onto her bus as if they were her own. Her kindness, patience, and steady presence left a lasting impression on generations of students who will forever remember her warmth and care.

In addition to her years of service as a bus driver, Jean also worked for the Food Marketing Company, where she was known for her strong work ethic and reliability.

Jean is also survived by her stepbrothers, Rex Eiler, Jim Eiler, and Kevin Eiler.

Above all else, Jean will be remembered for her gentle heart, her unconditional love for her family, and the countless lives she touched through simple acts of kindness. Her legacy lives on in the memories of those who knew her, loved her, and were fortunate enough to ride Bus #10.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service at a later date.
