Jeffrey Doner

Jeffrey B. Doner, 51, a former resident of Fort Wayne and more recently of Indianapolis, passed away at 7:50 p. m. on Monday, March 31, 2014, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis after collapsing unexpectedly at his home. Mr. Doner was born on November 30, 1962 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, a son of Richard and Vera (Tsiguloff) Doner, and moved to Fort Wayne as a child with his parents, where he spent his formative years. He graduated from Homestead High School in 1981, attended Colorado Mountain College, and graduated from IPFW in 1987. On May 11, 1985 he was married in Fort Wayne to Janet S. Harmeyer. The couple spent most of their married lives in Fort Wayne, lived for a brief period in Chandler, Arizona, and had resided in Indianapolis for the past five years. While living in Fort Wayne he had been employed by Kruse International in Auburn for 20 years, and since 2009 was the Vice President and Principal Broker for Key Auctioneers in Indianapolis. His life was marked by memberships and participation in a variety of professional organizations. He was a Certified Commercial Investment Member, and was a member of the National Association of REALTORS, and the National Auctioneers Association. In his leisure time he enjoyed his golf league and was proud of making a hole-in-one. He was also an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts and enjoyed auto racing events. Most especially he loved and cherished his family. The surviving relatives include his wife Janet; his children Mitch and Marissa, both of Indianapolis; his parents Richard and Vera Doner of Fort Wayne; a brother Steven (Jane) Doner of Wheaton, Ill; a sister Christine (David) Lucheon of Knoxville, Tenn; his grandson Christopher; three nephews and one niece. Funeral services will be held at 11 a. m. on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 6318 W. California Rd., Fort Wayne. Pastors William E. Mueller and Mitch Kruse will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 2-4 and from 6-8 p. m., or one hour prior to the service Saturday morning.
