Joan Pressler

Joan L. Pressler, 91, of Churubusco, passed away on July 24, 2020, at North Ridge Nursing Home in Albion. Born in Churubusco, on November 11, 1928, to the late Elmer and Ellen (Haines) Gordon. She spent her formative years in Churubusco, graduating from Churubusco High School in 1946. Joan was married to Max Pressler on July 17, 1948. He preceded her in death on August 16, 1992. She worked for Essex, Magnavox and retired from Tokheim. Joan was a member of the Churubusco American Legion Auxiliary and the Churubusco VFW Auxiliary. Joan is survived by two sons, Michael (Gloria) Pressler and Mark (Dottie) Pressler; two daughters, Valerie Geiger and Gale (Bill) Russell; her brother, James Gordon; eight grandchildren; one step grandchild; twenty-one great-grandchildren; step great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. Services will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Thursday, July 30, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. The family will also receive friends on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. During calling and service times masks are to be worn at all times.
