Joan U. Williams, 84, of Noblesville, formally of Milton and Cambridge City, passed away at 9:34 pm on Monday, August 5, 2013 at Miller's Merry Manor in Tipton. Mrs. Williams was born on September 2, 1928 in Connersville, a daughter of Kenneth "Pat" and Eula (Fields) Null. She spent her formative years in Milton were she attended school. On July 21, 1946 she was married in Cambridge City to James V. Williams. The surviving relatives include two sons - James L. (Brenda) Williams of Noblesville and Larry R. Williams of Avilla; a sister - Judy Williams of Cicero; two grandsons - Christopher (Dawn) Williams of Westfield and Jamie (MaryAnn) Williams of Muncie; three granddaughters - Kim (Doug) Redmon of Noblesville, Christina Shannon Linville of Tipton, and Loretta Steffen of Anderson; and 12 great - grandchildren. In addition to her parents and spouse, she was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth "Gene" Null; four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday at Calvery Baptist Church, Noblesville, with Pastor Rick Bell, officiating. The family will receive friends at the Calvery Baptist Church from 9:00 am to 11:00 am Monday. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the Valley Grove Cemetery south of Milton.
