John Barnes

John Alfred Barnes, 63, unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, December 6th, at his home in Fort Wayne, IN. John was born in Marion, IN, and graduated from Oak Hill High School. He attended the University of Kentucky. He spent many years living in Arizona and Texas. He relocated to Fort Wayne and was a 14-year employee of Summitt Express Inc. Prior to joining Summit Express, John worked in electronic sales and retail management. John is survived by his sister, Montell Buckles (Jim), Lexington, KY; his brother, Dan Barnes (Lynn), Houston, TX; his nephews, Jeff Barnes, Houston, TX, Jimmy Buckles and Joe Buckles, Lexington, KY, and Lt. Jeff Buckles (USN) Norfolk, VA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn, and his father, Glenn. His easy-going personality, clever sense of humor, and generosity will be missed by his family and all his friends. We are all better people for knowing and loving him.
