John A. Bianski, 57, a resident of rural LaOtto, passed away at 1:40 p. m. on Friday, August 2, 2013 at his home in Ege following a two year battle with cancer. Mr. Bianski was born on December 5, 1955 in Fort Wayne, a son of Ralph F. and Mary Louise "Suzy" (Happel) Bianski. He was a lifelong resident of the Ege community, and graduated from East Noble High School in 1974. A 30 year employee of Dana Corporation in Fort Wayne, he retired from there as an assembly worker in 2005. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Garrett, and in his leisure time enjoyed woodworking and Harley Davidson motorcycles. The surviving relatives include his children Jakob Bianski of LaOtto and Shannyn (Joshua McCollum) Bianski of Huntertown; his former wife Sue Dager of LaOtto; his mother Mary Louise "Suzy" Bianski of LaOtto; two brothers Philip (Brenda) Bianski of LaOtto and Nick (Yvonne) Bianski of Churubusco; four sisters Tina (Dave) Macy of LaOtto, Mariann Peters of Fort Wayne, and Jody (Stan) Ward and Sara (Garry) Polakovic, both of LaOtto; and three grandchildren Daemien Bianski, Zhoee Michels, and LeLa McCollum. His father preceded him in death on May 20, 2005. Also deceased are two infant children Jeni and Josef. Funeral services will be held at 10 a. m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco with Father Jacob Gall, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 8 p. m. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 8 p. m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Ege Catholic Cemetery, Noble County.
