John Cochran, 53, of Huntertown, passed away at 5:39 a.m. on Monday, July 18, 2016 at his home, Surrounded by his family.
Mr. Cochran was born on November 15, 1962 in Fort Wayne, a son of Donald and Marsha (Lawrence) Cochran. He spent his formative years in Fort Wayne, and graduated from Homestead High School in 1981.
On September 1, 1984 he was married in St. Petersburg, Fl to Kim Pebernat.
Mr. Cochran was a member of St. Vincents De Paul Socity, Knights of Columbus , and Local 232.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, Nascar races, and camping, but mostly he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
The surviving relatives include his wife Kim Cochran of Fort Wayen ; three daughters Cori (Justin) Gardner, of Fort Wayne, Kristin (Kyle) Knott, and Lauren Cochran, both of LaOtto; his parents Donald and Marsha Cochran, of Fort Wayne; two brothers Joe (Dorothy) Cochran, of Columbia City and Don (Mindy) Cochran Fort Wayne; two sisters Cyndy (Jay) Hursh, of Columbia City and Monica (Bob) Buescher, of Fort Wayne; six grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, with Father Daniel Scheidt, the celebrant.
The family will receive friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.on Wednesday, or at the church one hour prior to the service. The Rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Huntertown Cemetery, Cedar Canyon Road.
