John Fletter

John H. "Jack" Fletter, age 85, a resident of Holiday Park in Churubusco, Indiana died Tuesday June 30, 2009 at his residence following a brief illness. He had formerly lived on Harrold Road at Blue Lake West of Churubusco. Jack was born October 13, 1923 in Fort Wayne, Indiana a son of the late John David and Mary M. (Starost) Fletter. He was united in marriage on September 19, 1942 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Leonteen M. Rodman who preceded him in death on June 3, 1991. He later married Marceil Genth Hughes on July 30, 1994 who survives. Jack retired in 1985 from American Hoist & Derick as a service representative with 43 years of faithful service, and was a member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church. The survivors include his wife Marceil, children Bruce David (Diane) Fletter of Grand Rapids, Michigan; David Michael (Companion Deb Lukmani) Fletter of Churubusco, Indiana, John David (Marlise) Fletter of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Jackie (Barry) Miller of Churubusco. Sister Mary Klemm of Angola, Indiana and 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by a grandson John Edward Fletter. Funeral services for Jack will be held Friday July 3, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. in the St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Churubusco with Father Danney Pinto officiating. Burial will follow in the Orange Twp. Cemetery South of Rome city, Indiana.
