Jonathan Rawson Arehart, 58, of rural Churubusco in Noble County, passed away at 7:15 pm on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Mr. Arehart was born on April 26, 1956 in Bitburg, Germany, a son of Phillip L and Ruth (Fulk) Arehart. He spent his formative years in Green Township and spent most of his life in that community. On November 22, 2006 he was married in Fort Wayne to Cindy Herron. He spent his working life engaged in farming in Green Township. He also spent sometime working at the Indiana Auto Auction. He was an avid sports fan, a voracious reader, and one of his greatest joys in life was spending time with his "Dylan Boy". The surviving relatives include his wife, Cindy Arehart of Churubusco; his mother, Ruth Arehart of Churubusco; a son Joseph Arehart of Fort Wayne; a daughter Angela (Andrew) Lane of Fort Wayne; five sisters Renee (Daryl) Arehart-Rice of Little Rock, AR., Carol (John) McIntire and Jayne Arehart, both of Fort Wayne, Pamela (Rusty) Tilley of Ossian, and Christina Tidwell of Churubusco; and a grandson, Dylan Arehart of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his father Phillip Arehart; and by a brother Jeffery Arehart. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, with Rev. Larry Smith, pastor of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 7 p. m. on Monday, or one hour prior to the service Tuesday morning. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Allen County.
