Joseph M. Laudadio, 89, of Fort Wayne, passed away at 2:47 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Mr. Laudadio was born on August 15, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois, a son of Pasquali D. and Teresa (Ferragamo) Laudadio. As a young boy he and his family moved to this area.
Joseph served his country in both the Navy and the Army.
On November 29, 1947 he was married to Virginia L Einhorn.
He was employed at Coldwell Banker, and retired after more than 45 years of service.
Mr. Laudadio was a member of the Plymouth Congregational Church, he served on the Board of Trustees, was a deacon, he served two years as moderator of church, served on renovation committee for five years, was a member of the American Legion, he belonged to the Fort Wayne Area Assoc of Realtors, the American Heart Assoc, was a Chairman of United Way, he served on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity, he was a past President of Fort Wayne Assoc of Realtors, served on committee at local and state for the Real Estate Assoc since 1958, two terms president for Multiple Listing Association, Active in and chaired equal Opportunity Committees at local and state levels, former Kiwanian, twice selected as Realtor of the Year, and belongs to the Realtors Hall of Fame.
The surviving relatives include his wife of 68 years, Virginia L Laudadio of Fort Wayne; three sons, David D (Suzzanne) Laudadio of Louisville, KY, Joseph "Matt" (Sue Ellen) Laudadio of Fort Wayne, and Peter "Tony" (Tanya) Laudadio of Indianapolis; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Pasquali Dand Teresa (Ferragamo) Laudadio; and a sister Rafilda Rita Boone.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Plymouth Congregational Church, with Rev. Dr. John Gardner, officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Church one hour prior to service
