Joseph E. Malcolm, 80, of Huntertown, passed away on August 21, 2021, at his residence.
He was born in Fort Wayne, on September 16, 1940, to the late Ralph and Bernice Malcolm. He spent his formative years in Huntertown and graduated from Huntertown High School in 1958 and was vice president of his senior class. After high school, he served in the US Army Reserves.
On November 4, 1961, he was married to Patti Ann Romano in Fort Wayne.
Joe loved his family and being a farmer. He was the owner of Malcolm Farms.
Joe was a member of Saint John Bosco Catholic Church, a former Northwest Allen County School Board member, and served on the Parish Council at Saint John Bosco.
Joe is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patti Ann Malcolm; two sons, Philip Malcolm and Steven (Susie) Malcolm; six grandchildren, Jordan (Mike) McCoy, Spencer Malcolm, Taylor Malcolm, and Caiden Malcolm, Cam Knafel, Caylee Forrester; great-grandchildren, Maya, Keaton and Malcolm McCoy, Ander Forrester; four brothers and three sisters.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Joseph Malcolm.
Calling will take place at Sheets and Childs Funeral Home, Huntertown Chapel, on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, from 2:00 to 8:00 pm.
Services will be at 11:00 am, Thursday, August 26, 2021, with calling one hour prior, at the Huntertown Chapel. Internment to follow at Huntertown Cemetery.
