Joseph Younis

Joseph C. Younis, 76, of Green Center, passed away at 7:52 pm on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at his home. Mr. Younis was born on July 25, 1936 in Green Center, Noble County, a son of Charley and Mary (Nomoura) Younis. He spent his formative years in Green Center, and graduated from Albion High School. After his service in the United States Army, he became a truck diver. He retired after more than 20 years of service from Reith & Riley Trucking. The surviving relatives include four sisters Barbara Ebert of Fort Wayne, Eileen Pontius of Churubusco, Sarah Meshberger of Houston, TX, and Diana Lawson of Fort Wayne; two brothers Isaac (his companion Sally Byer) Younis of Churubusco and George (Carol) Younis of Kendallville; a brother-in-law Wilber Searer of Churubusco; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister Wordie Searer. There will be a private family service. Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco is in charge of the arrangements. ******************************
