Juanita J. Miller

Juanita J. Miller, 80, of Churubusco, passed away peacefully on her birthday, October 14, 2026, at Ashton Creek.

Born on October 14, 1946, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Nedra (Glander) McEowen. She graduated from Churubusco High School in 1964 and later earned an associate degree from Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW). On December 28, 1968, she married Jerry Miller.

Juanita began her career at McJon Photo, Inc. in 1964 as its first employee. She later served as Manager of Customer Service until her retirement in 2010.

A lifelong member of Trinity English Lutheran Church, Juanita treasured her faith and the relationships she built within her church family. She was a talented seamstress and musician who enjoyed playing several reed instruments. She also loved cooking and baking. In retirement, she discovered a passion for glass art and shared her talents by teaching stained-glass classes.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Miller; three brothers, David (Vonda) McEowen, Edwin (Mary Jo) McEowen, and Roger (Jean) McEowen; a sister, Marcia (Mark) Hollopeter; and a brother-in-law, Earl Howell.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Wanda Howell.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, with visitation from noon until the service.

Burial will follow at Eel River Cemetery in Churubusco.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Allen County Humane Shelter.
