Judith "Judy" Morgan

Judith "Judy" A. Morgan, 80, of Muncie, formerly of Churubusco, passed away on July 10, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her family. Judith was born in Marion on February 13, 1944, to the late John and Betty (James) Bayless. She spent her formative years in Fairmount and graduated from Fairmount High School in 1962. On October 14, 1983, she was married at Green Center Church to S. Charles "Chuck" Morgan and moved from Fort Wayne to Churubusco in 1977. He preceded her in death on August 14, 2012. Following the death of Chuck, Judy moved to Leesburg, Florida in 2013. In 2017, she moved to Muncie to be near her daughter. She was a hard worker and had many interests. In her early working years, she spent time working in Law enforcement spending time with the FBI, Indiana State Police, and the Warsaw Police Department. Later she worked in data entry for Lincoln Life and The American Red Cross. Finally, she assisted her husband with his Morgan Refrigeration and Kaman business. Judy was a devoted fan of the Chicago Cubs, Bears, and Nascar. She also enjoyed shopping, baking, and frequent trips to Shipshewana with her friend Myra. She had an infectious zest for life and a love for those around her. Her friends and family will miss her dearly, but they take comfort in knowing she lived a full and happy life. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie (Rob) Jordan; son, Patrick (Haley) McCorkle; and her stepson, Kevin (Brenda) McCorkle; her brother, Tom (Kitty) Bayless; her grandson, Blade McCorkle; her best friend, Myra Dix. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded by her best friend in Florida, Darlene Bone. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, with calling beginning at noon. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, Churubusco. Memorials may be directed to Cornerstone Center for the Arts, Muncie. Sheets & Childs Funeral Home has been entrusted with these arrangements.
