Justin Berghoff

Justin Berghoff, 40, of Churubusco, passed away on January 17, 2025. He was born in Fort Wayne on June 02, 1984, to Kathy (Hamilton) and the late Gustave "Gus" Berghoff. After graduating from Churubusco High School in 2003, Justin pursued higher education at Vincennes University and Purdue University. A patriot at heart, Justin has served his country with dedication in the United States Air Force for the past 15 years. He was also employed at MacAllister Machinery, where he utilized his skills in Generator maintenance. Justin had many interests, but his sons and their activities were his world. His passion for life was evident in his love for going to the gym, working with his hands, riding BMX, and traveling. He was a beloved figure in his community and will be remembered for his dedication to his family, career, and service to the country. Justin is survived by his wife, Laura Berghoff, whom he married on April 20, 2010; sons, Breckyn and Paxton Berghoff. He also leaves behind his mother, Kathy Berghoff, his brother, Kris Berghoff, and his sisters, Robin Berghoff and Hannah (Jon) Rogers. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, with calling one hour prior to the service. The family will also receive family and friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Justin's sons' education fund C/O Laura.
