Karon Hare

Karon Louise (Gaff) Hare 70, of Churubusco, passed away surrounded by her family at her home, on Tuesday June 6, 2017. Born on October 9, 1946 in Wolf Lake, to the late Loren L. and Marilynn D. (Dafforn) Gaff. She was married to Bruce L. Hare on October 13, 1988 in Columbia City. She worked at Dana Corp in Churubusco for 20 years and then later retired from Ingram Books in 2009. She loved animals. Surviving relatives include her husband Bruce L. Hare of Churubusco; two daughters, Lori (Doug) Snyder and Kammi (Joel) Barrett both from Churubusco; a stepson, Gabriel Hare of Mt. Airy, MD; two sisters, Joyce (Walter) DeHaven and Andrea Gaff both of Churubusco; three grandchildren, seven step grandchildren, and three step great grandchildren. she was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be Saturday 11:00am June 10, 2017 at Sheets and Childs Funeral Home, Rev. Rick VanHorn, officiating. Visitation will be Friday June 9, 2017 from 2-8 at the funeral home with calling one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
