Kathy Greenawalt

Kathy L. Greenawalt, 53, a resident of rural Churubusco in Noble County, passed away at 10:40 a. m. on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Greenawalt was born on February 14, 1960 in Conneaut, Ohio, a daughter of Gerald and Deanna (Campbell) Braden, and spent her formative years in Knox, Indiana. She graduated from Knox Community High School in 1978 and also from Ivy Tech. On October 7, 1994 she was married in Gatlinburg, Tennessee to Randy Greenawalt, and moved from Knox to Churubusco, where she had lived for the last 20 years. She was employed at Parkview Whitley Hospital in Columbia City as the nutrition supervisor. Mrs. Greenawalt was a member of Relay for Life and volunteered for the Meals on Wheels organization. In addition to her husband of 23 years, the surviving relatives include her father Gerald (Patty) Braden of Ashtabula, OH and her mother Deanna Trent of Ashtabula, Oh.; two daughters Angie Sparks of Ashley and Hollye (Pat) Hickmane of Fort Wayne; two sons Ryan Sparks of Las Vegas, NV and Cody Greenawalt of Fort Wayne; three brothers Bim (Debbie) Braden of Ashtabula, OH, Jim (Karen) Braden of Pontiac, MI, and Tilton Trent of Phoenix, AZ; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Greg Braden.
