Kenneth Anspaugh

Kenneth D. Anspaugh, 79, of Blue Lake near Churubusco, passed away at 12:23 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at his home. He gave cancer his best fight. Mr. Anspaugh was born on November 2, 1936 in Fort Wayne, a son of Merrill and Mary (Amons) Anspaugh. After high school he served in the United States Navy. He was employed at C. Miller & Sons, and retired in 1997 after 30 years. He also worked a C.L. Schust for ten years. Mr. Anspaugh loved fishing, boating, and his garden. The surviving relatives include his daughter, Sherry (Keith) Weller of Gilbert, AZ; a sister, Joyce Hinen of Fort Wayne ; a brother, Lyle Bowling of New Mexico; a sister-in-law Gloria Anspaugh of Hoagland; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and some good friends at Blue Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents Merrill and Mary (Amons) Anspaugh; two sons, Merrill and Bobby Anspaugh; a daughter Michele Anspaugh; two sisters, Mary Lou Miller and Barbara Feichter; and a brother, Earl Anspaugh Navy Honors will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in the Marion National Cemetery, Marion.
